Dialogue with Entrepreneurs and Government
On July 6, 2022, the “Dialogue with Entrepreneurs” was held, a meeting convened by the H. City Council of Bahía de Banderas. The venue took place in the Secrets Bahia Mita, with the participation of President Mirtha Villalvazo and her entire cabinet and a large number of businessmen from the entire Bahía de Banderas region.
The topics that were discussed were the economic development of the region, infrastructure, security, roads and education.
President Mirtha Villalvazo began the dialogue by presenting a maintenance project on the highway from Cruz de Huanacaxtle to Punta de Mita, where she promised to fill in the potholes one meter before and one meter after, and that the project would also be extended to all the municipality with the pothole program. She is also working on new signalling system
He also commented that in the municipality there are 154 schools and out of those 108 are in very poor condition, some were severely vandalized in the pandemic, others have become old and deteriorated spaces that represent a danger to children. Being concerned and in need , it would be appreciated if the private sector would adopt a school.
Another project that the municipal government will be developing, with an investment of 17 million, is the entrance to the Riviera Nayarit coming from Puerto Vallarta, it will be a space with modern infrastructure and vegetation. This will integrate an identity for Bahía de Banderas.
Bucerías will have a pier, it will be located where the letters of BUCERIAS are today, its investment will be 120 million, which will also be another tourist attraction for the municipality.
In Punta de Mita, the roundabout at the entrance will be made of concrete up to the Anclote, to make it a pedestrian and golf cart path. In addition, in Punta de Mita, the zócalo square will be built with an investment of 15 million, which will be paid in equal parts between the municipality and the Asociacion de Empresarios Punta de Mita
It was also agreed to start a delegation to create an adaptation and modification of the law regarding payments for minibar licenses. And this payment being forgiven, in exchange for support in equipment in the region.
Finally, there was talk of a dangerous plague that is invading the palm trees. The federal agency for plant health, after studies and investigations, discovered that a plague called MAYATE prieto is making all the palm trees sick in the country and situations like this must be attacked together, otherwise the palm trees will disappear in 5-8 years, to later attack other crops. Therefore, a local meeting was requested to establish a one-year project and attack the problem.
To conclude this meeting Dialogue with Entrepreneurs of Bahía de Banderas, it was agreed that these dialogues would be held on a quarterly basis, in order to work and create agreements in favor of the municipality of Bahía de Banderas.
