Update of the Plaza-Zocalo Punta de Mita

A new social space “Plaza-Zocalo Punta de Mita”

Punta de Mita promises to add a new tourist and social value by 2022, a natural space for the healthy coexistence of all. Although in 2020 the starting flag was given, in 2021 all our efforts have been focused towards obtaining the final financial budget, authorized by the municipality and the private initiative, and thus carry out the construction of the Plaza – Zócalo Punta de MIta in Corral del Risco.

Plaza -Zocalo Punta de Mita, a project with tourist and social value

Through ADEPM, it was possible to sign the collaboration agreements between all those involved. Specifying the process, method and cost that this project will have. The final adjustments to the architectural plans are also being made.

This project has been developed with the support of Fundación Punta de Mita as well as by the funds provided by the construction of this project. The construction of the Plaza-Zócalo Punta de Mita will be supervised by the firm of Juan Pablo Stone of Stone Contractors.

Weekly meetings are currently being held between the staff of the Bahía de Banderas municipality, the Punta Mita foundation, ADEPM, Stone Contractors and the architectural firm that won the tender for the project.

Work has been done on the last technical and financial adjustments to the project. With this, it is expected to be able to start to be in operation in the near future. Without a doubt, the Plaza – Zócalo will add a cultural and tourist value of great beauty to Punta de Mita. It goes without saying that the effort and hard work put into this project by the people who took part in it will reflect a great sense of leadership and the concept of great space.
