Security for Bahia de Banderas

A theme that is of paramount importance to the Asociacion de Empresarios de Punta de Mita y Riviera Nayarit A.C. is the security of the region.

It is important to bear in mind that tourism security is a multidimensional concept of prevention and comprehensive care that incorporates health, physical, psychological and economic integrity of visitors, service providers and, of course, the rest of society.

For ADEPM, the key factors in which it works to protect the environment’s relationship with the visitor in the Punta de Mita and Riviera Nayarit region are: to protect visitors and residents from crime and to protect the tourist attraction with which it stands out in the region. For these reasons, ADEPM actively participated in a meeting convened by the OVC, in order to address the main concerns in the region regarding security issues with the pertinent authorities.

Tourists give 9.7 to Riviera Nayarit in security, his is derived from a series ourveys carried out in hotels, the airport, events and spaces of entertainment and consumption among visitors; and allows the tourist to rate the services and attractions, as well as the data serve to improve the tourism product offered by the destination.

Regarding the Travel Experience, national and international tourists awarded a general rating of 9.7 to the Riviera Nayarit and in terms of Likelihood of Recommendation also rated 9.7, being the reason for their trip the pleasure or rest in 99% of cases. So far the main means of reservation to come to the region remains the travel agency, with 41% overall.
