20 Patrols guarantee security in Bahia de Banderas

Citizen security is the result of the actions carried out by the Government of the State of Nayarit and the Municipality of Bahia de Banderas with the collaboration of citizens, aimed at ensuring healthy living, eradicating violence, and making peaceful and orderly use of roads and public spaces. All these actions are aimed at the inhabitants, their goods and visitors, with the purpose of exercising a harmonious and efficient respect for human rights.

 “The security of our families is the most important thing”

Said the Municipal President of Bahía de Banderas, Jaime Alonso Cuevas Tello, managed the acquisition of patrols for use by the Municipality. Previously, there were only 6, now the City Council has 20 more units available for its protection and support, which are designed to respond in cases of contingencies.

With greater police presence a greater security is perceived; without leaving aside the main economic activity in the region, tourism. Having patrols within everyone’s reach, in each important point for tourism, provides a free and safe displacement of tourists by destination, reducing conflict situations.

Adalberto Moreno Benavent, on behalf of the ADEPM received the request of the municipal president, Jaime Alonso Cuevas Tello, to participate in the delivery of the patrols of the municipality, addressing a few words in the official ceremony of the same. He recognized the opening of the mayor from the beginning of his administration to develop and promote actions on benefit of citizens and visitors in the area of security. He also expressed that this commitment is for everyone and for all, so he requested to continue with the joint work from the government, society and the private sector.

On the other hand he mentioned that this is the best time to join forces, to preserve and care for the Riviera Nayarit with all its beauties and opportunities it offers. He also asked to look in all directions carrying out actions and activities that lead to continue with the distinction of being one of the best tourist destinations and world class.
