CONAGUA proposal for water sanitation – Sayulita
Assuming the commitments acquired with the care of nature and seeking regional sustainability, the ADEPM has carried out numerous working meetings with the federal, state and municipal governments and with the water agency of Bahía de Banderas Oromapas; This with the intention of giving a definitive solution to the serious problem of water pollution that the population of Sayulita has.
The general director of Conagua, assumed the firm commitment to the population of Sayulita, the ADEPM, Pro Sayulita and to other organizations, to deliver a professional study of water sanitation, which present the different possibilities and solutions that will be given to the population.
The results, which yielded 9 possible solutions, were announced in October these were already analyzed and approved by the municipality of Bahía de Banderas, Conagua federal, Ceas Estatal, ADEPM and Pro Sayulita.
Within these 9 proposals, for its viability and cost, it was number 9 that was approved, since it complies with the federal standards and contemplates that the 2 existing treatment plants; Lodos and Biodiscos be joined by a third team, which would perform functions online, to treat the water of the town and this be sent by means of a submarine emitter at least 21 meters deep up to 2.5 km distance from the beach.
The ADEPM and Pro Sayulita´s actions, allowed to successfully link the 3 levels of government in Mexico and obtained the 31 million pesos that are required to rehabilitate the two treatment plants in Sayulita, this will provide sanitation in the waters that the population requires.
The investment will be contributed 50% by Conagua and 50% by the State and Municipal government.
